Meetmap Terms of Use

Updated December 5, 2025
Meetmap is an app that allows people to easily manage their status (a set of buttons used to represent your real-life status for a specific event) and view others’ statuses within a meetup (a page for events where people can view everyone’s statuses and change their own).
We try our best to make a fun and easy-to-use app for meetups — big or small — to manage their attendees.
By creating a Meetmap account, you agree to these terms. Any violation of these terms may result in account termination.

Account Requirements

To comply with the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), all registered users regardless of country must be 13 years of age or older. Users accessing Meetmap outside of the US must either be within the age of digital consent in their country, or have permission from a legal guardian to use Meetmap.

Users must ensure their account content is appropriate. Names, usernames, or profile pictures containing sexually explicit, discriminatory, or graphic content are prohibited.

Meetup Requirements

Meetups must be appropriate for all 13+ users. Just like account rules, any meetup names or icons containing sexually explicit, discriminatory, or graphic content are prohibited.

As there are currently no filters or modes for events promoting the use of age-restricted items (e.g., alcohol, gambling, drugs, smoking, etc.), events that encourage or advertise the use of such items are not allowed.
This only applies if the actual event itself is related to or promotes age-restricted items. If a meetup takes place at a venue that offers age-restricted items but the event is not directly related to them, you may still use Meetmap—but it is your responsibility (or the venue’s responsibility) to ensure no illegal activity occurs.
Please ensure that all meetups on Meetmap follow local laws.

Intellectual Property

Meetmap owns the rights to its logo, app, and characters. Certain uses of our property are allowed, as long as they follow these terms.

You may create videos or posts on social media featuring Meetmap or promoting your meetups. Reviews — positive or negative — are welcome, but they cannot be misleading, and cannot falsely paint Meetup in a bad light. Any videos related to our app that comply with our terms may be monetized, and no revenue share is required. If we wish to use your content on our pages, we will either contact you for permission or use in-app features that credit the original creator. If your video contains a bug, security flaw, or a real problem with Meetmap, we highly encourage you to send us the video for further review and resolution.

We also have characters called Meeties, which are mascots for the app. You are encouraged to create fan art of our characters, provided it is appropriate for a teen audience. Cartoon violence is allowed, but sexually explicit or realistically gruesome content is prohibited. Meeties cannot be used to promote or advertise derogatory or hateful speech.

Changes to Terms

If there are any changes to Meetmap’s Terms of Use or Privacy Policy, we will do our best to inform users by posting updates through the app and on our social media channels.
